The Climate Change Debate

There is some difference of opinion about Climate Change. Conventional wisdom (what we are told to believe) holds that average temperature on Earth is increasing every year. Wikipedia tells us that Global Warming is fact, while dozens of websites disagree with this assertion.  Examples are Despite Denials, Data Shows… and Climategate on the website of Watts Up With That? The Canadian Friends of Science provides insight into Climate Change. Stephen Hawking: We are close to the tipping point where Global Warming becomes irreversible. Famous physicist Stephen Hawking issued a warning to humanity in response to President Donald Trump’s recent decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris Climate Agreement. Hawking said that Trump’s decision could cause irrevocable harm to the planet. The Climate Change Truth File. Global Warming Lies. Global Warming: Ten Facts & Ten Myths. The World Natural Health Organization. Futurism: If we stopped emitting greenhouse gases right now, would we stop Climate Change? The Huffington Post (S.A.) published a news item (2016-12-23): “She Went To Alaska To Photograph Polar Bears In Snow, But Found No Snow”.  Photographer Patty Waymire travelled to Alaska’s Barter Island from late September to early October with an express purpose: To take pictures of polar bears in their natural environment, surrounded by picturesque snow. But there was no snow to be found. In contrast, the Christmas of 2016 in Johannesburg has been the coldest Christmas in very many years. Not bitterly winter cold, but enough to make it somewhat unpleasant in the evenings. Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore (PhD Ecology, B.Sc Forest Biology), is now “The Sensible Environmentalist”, cutting through phony “global warming” science with facts. In this YouTube video (20 minutes) Patrick explains why carbon dioxide (CO 2) is a hero, not a villain. Awards include: Ford Foundation Fellowship, Honorary Doctorate of Science North Carolina State University (2005), US National Award for Nuclear Science and History, Einstein Society, 2009. We know that you are safer in the air than on the ground in a motor vehicle, per person per km (or per mile!) although aircraft accidents look a lot worse because more people die at the same time. But emissions from passenger aircraft are a real problem. The National Geographic (Oct 10, 2010) tells us that Plane Exhaust Kills More people than Plane Crashes. Toxic pollutants kill at least ten thousand annually, study says. Patrick Moore Presents: Planet of the Humans. Is Green Energy sustainable?
